Responsible gambling in New Zealand
Online gambling is for adults aged 18 and over. It is entertainment with a cost, not a way to earn money, and the house edge applies to every session regardless of how the last one ended.
Watch for the warning signs: chasing losses, borrowing to deposit, hiding play from family, or staking money set aside for rent and bills. Set a deposit limit and a time limit at registration, before the first spin, and use the reality check reminder every 30 minutes. Most operators also offer a cooling off period and permanent self exclusion.
